Free home support for elderly launched
THE OFFICIAL launch of the great new free confidential and comprehensive home support service for the elderly people of Bray will take place on Thursday October 30.
HOMELink is designed to respond to the social difficulties that people may experience when living alone. The official launch of the new service is being held in the Little Flower Hall at the Holy Redeemer Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The launch will act as the first social event to be run by HOMELink in order for staff, members and representatives of services in the community that cater for the elderly to meet each other.
‘We have been up and running since May and already have over 100 members. We are getting great feedback about how much we have improved our members’ quality of life.’
To become a member all that is required is to turn up on October 30 and give your name, address, telephone number and one/two contact numbers of a neighbour, friend or relative (preferably key holders).
