Free home sup­port for el­derly launched

THE OF­FI­CIAL launch of the great new free con­fi­den­tial and com­pre­hen­sive home sup­port ser­vice for the el­derly peo­ple of Bray will take place on Thurs­day Oc­to­ber 30.

HOMELink is de­signed to re­spond to the so­cial dif­fi­cul­ties that peo­ple may ex­pe­ri­ence when liv­ing alone. The of­fi­cial launch of the new ser­vice is be­ing held in the Lit­tle Flower Hall at the Holy Redeemer Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The launch will act as the first so­cial event to be run by HOMELink in or­der for staff, mem­bers and rep­re­sen­ta­tives of ser­vices in the com­mu­nity that cater for the el­derly to meet each other.

‘We have been up and run­ning since May and al­ready have over 100 mem­bers. We are get­ting great feed­back about how much we have im­proved our mem­bers’ qual­ity of life.’

To be­come a mem­ber all that is re­quired is to turn up on Oc­to­ber 30 and give your name, ad­dress, tele­phone num­ber and one/two con­tact num­bers of a neigh­bour, friend or rel­a­tive (prefer­ably key hold­ers).
