Kilbride annual parish dance

Bray People - - Kilmacanogue Diary -

A HUGE thank you to everyone for their support for the Kilbride Parish Annual Supper Dance that took place last Friday night.

Without the continued support they get from the good folk of Kilmacanogue, Glencree and beyond, Kilbride Parish Dance would cease to function! As a very small parish with mostly elderly parishioners, they wish to thank God for good friends who come along and support them every year.

A special thank you to Vincent & Margaret for all their work behind the scenes in the Greystones Rugby Club; Vincent is always there keeping a watchful eye on proceedings and Margaret provides the food.

Also thank all the lads who help out on the night ferrying stuff backwards and forwards to the room etc.

Thanks also to everyone who brought along raffle prizes and a big thanks to all the ladies for the delicious desserts – everyone commented on the amount of choice!

And last but not least thanks to Brian and Maureen ( Bandit) for once again providing great dance music and entertainment.

Next year is an historic one for the parish as we will be celebrating 150 years of worship in Kilbride Church along with Powerscourt Church and St. Mary’s Enniskerry.

Despite what will be a hectic schedule of events throughout the year, the parish will of course be holding their annual dance and given the year that will be in it, it is hoped to have an extra special night.
