Soccer round-up

Bray People - - Kilmacanogue Diary -

MOST TEAMS in action last weekend and a mixed set of results to report. The under-8s were at home to Rathnew and reversed last weeks defeat to the same opposition with a 3-0 victory.

Oscar Wainright Smith got a hatrick including a brilliant individual goal for his third and he was outstanding in a good team display.

The Under-9s were at home to Aughrim and suffered a heavy defeat. However, it was a scoreless second half and great credit to the team for not letting their heads drop, keep it going.

The Under-10s suffered their first defeat of the season with a 2-1 defeat away to Wicklow Rovers. Gavan Maher got the goal with Luke O’Sullivan and Darragh Mansfield the best players.

The Under-12s were at home to Ashford and suffered a 4-0 defeat. Josh Drew and Jamie Harvey were the top players in what was a disappointing performance.

The Under-13s were at home to Wolfe Tone and were unlucky to lose out on a 1-0 scoreline. The glens played well in a good match in blustery conditions and tried all they could for an equalizer that just would not come.

The Youths were at home to Enniskerry and won 4-1. Alan Harris hit a hatrick with Conor Power also on the scoresheet. Keeper Paul Crowe had an outstanding game in a great all round team performance.
