TWO RATHDRUM motorbike racers made a long trip to Kinsale, Co. Cork, for the West Cork Motorcycle Club Hill Climb.

Alvin Griffin on his 400cc Kawasaki classic was in winning form. After four runs he finished fourth fastest of the day.

Classic racer Tommy Kavanagh, after one practice run, came first in the 500cc classic class on a Norton.

It was quite a hairy hill climb but a most enjoyable time was had. Thanks to June Sheehy of the West Cork Club.

Tommy was just back from a hectic weekend’s racing in North Dublin at the Killalane Road Races where he finished 12th overall in the 500cc races.
