Glencormac United 1, St. Peter’s Bhoys B 4: Glencormac United’s promising early start to life in the second tier of Wicklow soccer has come off the rails somewhat lately after the Kilmac side came up against some of the frontrunners in the division.
DIVISION 1 The Glens did manage a goal through Tom Byrne but the visitors managed four; a Noel Stephens double and goals from Paul Farrell and Darren McIntyre.
Wicklow Rovers 5, Newtown United B 1: Now that they have picked up their first win of the season there seems to be no stopping Wicklow Rovers, who secured their second win of the season with this big win over a struggling Newtown United side.
Seán Tobin secured the match ball with a treble. Conor Tobin and Aaron Earls also scored for Rovers. Anto Duffy netted for the visitors. Aughrim Rangers 3, Sugarloaf FC 0: Their early season form had put them at the top of the table but Sugarloaf haven’t enjoyed the best of times in the last few weeks.
This time they went down to title contenders Aughrim Rangers, who had Rory O’Brien (2) and Niall Byrne (Penalty) to thank for securing them the three points.
Wicklow Town 0, Wolfe Tone Celtic 5: Wolfe Tone Celtic followed up their convincing win over Glencormac United with another impressive win, with bottom side Wicklow Town the opposition time.
