Woman with leg injuries found on mountain
MOUNTAIN rescue teams involved in the recovery of four bodies from a crashed British aircraft also rescued a young woman who had sustained leg injuries on Sunday afternoon.
Members of the Glen of Imaal and D u b l i n / Wi c k l ow Mountain Rescue Teams responded to a call out as they were working at the scene of the light- aircraft crash. They received a call about a woman who sustained lower leg injuries while out hill- walking on Lybagh Mountain south of Lugnaquillia and near Aughavanna.
The call- out was received at 1.10 p. m. and the Aircorps and members of the Mountain Rescue Teams soon arrived at the scene and began treat- ing her before the injured woman was evacuated to an awaiting ERHA ambulance.
She was brought to Loughlinstown Hospital for further treatment.
