Brilliant night at St Fergal’s
‘WASN’T IT BRILLIANT!’ was one parishioners response as she left St. Fergal’s Church last Friday evening.
The woman was beaming about the fantastic performance by St. Fergal’s Men’s Choir who raised the roof of the church as the sound of music could be heard booming from the speakers.
The choir played as part of a fundraising night for the parish.
A massive €3,000 was raised on the night with all the proceeds going back into the parish funds for the day-to-day running of the church.
Under the musical direction of Michael Byrne the choir sang favourites from Elton John, The Bee Gees, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Alongside the vocal entertainment, Karl O’Broin provided a visual slideshow to go coincide with the songs being sang. Flute Soloist Eimear Hegarty played to the huge crowd and received a standing ovation for her piece.
