Large turn-out at Kilian House sale-of-work

A SUC­CESS­FUL sale-of-work was held at the Kilian House Fam­ily Re­source Cen­tre all day on Sun­day to raise money for the Holy Rosary Sis­ters Kille­shan­dra Mex­i­can Mis­sions Sale.

Ad­mis­sion was just € 1, which in­cluded tea or cof­fee and bis­cuits and most peo­ple brought along a se­lec­tion of do­na­tions for the sale, in­clud­ing cakes, jams and more. There was plenty of jew­ellery on of­fer, as well as dolls and other toys, games, sweets, and other bric-a-brac.

The Holy Rosary Sis­ters work with the poor in 23 dif­fer­ent min­istries in thir­teen coun­tries.

They are par­tic­u­larly com­mit­ted to fos­ter­ing the dig­nity and sup­port of women and fam­i­lies, help­ing peo­ple to reach their po­ten­tial.

They con­tinue to cre­ate ini­tia­tive to re­spond to AIDS through ed­u­ca­tional pro­grams, and home-based care. They also work with street peo­ple and or­phans left des­ti­tute as well as cam­paign­ing for af­ford­able medicines and nu­tri­tional meals for the poor.
