Large turn-out at Kilian House sale-of-work
A SUCCESSFUL sale-of-work was held at the Kilian House Family Resource Centre all day on Sunday to raise money for the Holy Rosary Sisters Killeshandra Mexican Missions Sale.
Admission was just € 1, which included tea or coffee and biscuits and most people brought along a selection of donations for the sale, including cakes, jams and more. There was plenty of jewellery on offer, as well as dolls and other toys, games, sweets, and other bric-a-brac.
The Holy Rosary Sisters work with the poor in 23 different ministries in thirteen countries.
They are particularly committed to fostering the dignity and support of women and families, helping people to reach their potential.
They continue to create initiative to respond to AIDS through educational programs, and home-based care. They also work with street people and orphans left destitute as well as campaigning for affordable medicines and nutritional meals for the poor.
