Sorop­tomists jet off to Bar­bar­dos for sum­mit

NINE MEM­BERS of the Bray Club of Sorop­ti­mist In­ter­na­tional of Ire­land set off on a trip last week to the sunny shores of Bar­ba­dos, the most east­erly of the Caribbean is­lands to at­tend the In­ter­na­tional Fed­er­a­tion Con­fer­ence of Sorop­ti­mists.

On ar­rival a spe­cial wel­come from Fed­er­a­tion Pres­i­dent Mar- guerite Wood­stock­Ri­ley will greet the Bray mem­bers, the last time they met to­gether, was at the Na­tional Con­fer­ence held in Bray at The Royal Ho­tel, in May this year.

Fol­low­ing the colour­ful open­ing cer­e­mony out­go­ing S.I. Repub­lic of Ire­land Na­tional Pres­i­dent Ms. Pa­tri­cia Mc Hugh (Bray) will hand over the chain of of­fice to in­com­ing Na­tional Pres­i­dent Kay Bro­phy from North Kil­dare.

The Bray and District Club of S.I. will hold a fundrais­ing lunch on Satur­day Novem­ber 15 in the Royal St. Ge­orge, Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire. All in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing, please con­tact (087) 2069327.
