GAELSCOIL UÍ Cheadaigh was a colourful wonderland last Thursday, when in place of the usual children, classes were attended by witches, skeletons, Minnie mouse, a fireman, wolverine and more fantastic characters.

Also in school that day were Snow White herself, a pirate, a solider, Batman and even a fairy princess.

Amongst the array of costumes were a few scary monsters and some figures from history, everyone having made a huge effort on the day to get in to the Halloween spirit. There was Halloween themed art work, created by the pupils, decorating the school walls and a range of seasonal games to play, including the ever popular ’bobbing for apples.’

Gealscoil Ui Cheadaigh recently enjoyed a sponsored walk to generate funds for the school and its facilities and some brave parents will be doing a sponsored parachute jump in the coming months.
