Man is refunded for faulty laptop
A TOTAL of €699 was awarded to a Wicklow Town resident at Arklow District Court after he purchased a faulty laptop computer at Tesco.
Raymond Howes from 36 Hill View brought a civil action against Tesco, Arklow on Wednesday following unsatisfactory customer service over a one-year period.
Mr. Howes told the court that he purchased an IQON brand computer in October 2007 and it subsequently started to shut down without warning, had a battery life of one hour and froze regularly.
He added that he had been in touch with Tesco in Arklow and at their head office in the region of 30 times.
The Judge made a decree for full compensation to be paid.
