Drunken abuse

Bray People - - Bray People -

‘WHY DIDN’T you get happy, or kind of smiley, why abusive?’ Judge Murrough Connellan asked a man charged with being drunk and disorderly who told him he had been out all day for a friend’s birthday at the time of his arrest.

Damien Forde, 25 Ard Na Greine, was very drunk and abusive to the public at Station Road on September 12 at 1.10 a.m., the court heard.

‘I can’t remember back that far,’ he told Judge Connellan after the enquiry. ‘You know now that when you get drunk you get aggressive. That’s what drink does to you Mr. Forde. I don’t want to see you here again,’ said Judge Connellan before dismissing the charge with the benefit of the probation act.
