Ladies’ football - The ladies footballers are looking for players interested in forming a team for next year. Girls from 14 up are welcome and we would like to see girls who played in the past for Fergal’s get involved and help build a team and also as always new members are more than welcome. Contact Gemma on 0872752025 or Claire on 086-1789823.
Fundraising Run - A fundraising run was held recently and the prize for the first male home went to John Connors of the hurling team and first female home was Orla Kearns of the ladies footballers. Big thanks to all who took part and please return all outstanding money asap.
Junior Hurlers - The hurlers have qualified for the final of the junior A championship but must await the outcome of the other semi-final between Newcastle and Eire Og which ended in a draw. This is a great achievement for the club and we are very proud of the team. While the addition of some players from St. Pat’s boosted the team it also drove on the home grown players and a great bond has grown within this team. For a small and relatively new club to get to a final like this is great achivement. The years of work put into players since they were kids has come to fruition and this is down to great effort over the years by the likes of Oliver O’Brien, Joe Carroll and Seán Twohig. This will be a great day out for the club and we call on anyone who is or has been involved with Fergal Ogs to get along on final day and support the lads.
Congratulations to Leighton Glynn on getting on the comprimise rules squad from all at Fergal Ogs and also well done to the various lads and ladies from Wicklow who played on the Irish teams in the recent shinty matches.
