No paycuts in Greystones
THERE has not been a three per cent cut in Greystones town Council salaries, because there is nowhere in Greystones to make savings, said Town Manager Sean Quirke.
While the county council must cut that amount from salary expenditure overall, the capacity is not there to do so in Greystones.
Savings have been made elsewhere by cutting overtime or staff numbers, and in Greystones there is no overtime worked and staff numbers are short as it is. The information emerged during a budget meeting and followed a question on the subject from Cllr. Eleanor Roche.
