EXHIBITION OF PAINTINGS
There will be an exhibition of paintings by well-known local artist Lance Neal in the Brockagh Centre on Sunday 30 November and Sunday December 14 (during Christmas Craft Fairs).
Born in the U.S. in 1944, Lance began to draw and paint when he was very young and sold his first painting when he was 14 years old. Lance came to Ireland in 1966 and has lived in Wicklow since.
He draws his inspiration from the beauty and harmony of nature. His insights enable him to capture the character and personality of his subjects. In landscape and seascapes he captures the tranquillity, serenity or turmoil of the scene.
Although he has painted some 1,400 oil paintings, in his long career, most of his work is unknown. Like most artists their great works end up in some private collection seen & appreciated only by a few. Lance feels, great art of any kind is never exclusive, it binds people together in shared experience.
All prints are individually signed by the author. Contact the Brockagh Centre (0404) 45600.
On Sunday 14th December Santa will leave Lynham’s Car Park at 12 noon and make his way to the Brockagh Centre, in horse drawn carriage, where he will stay until about 3pm (Christmas Craft Fair).
