Four-car smash on N11 causes two-hour delay
COMMUTERS faced an almost two-hour delay on Monday morning as a four-car collision on the N11 brought traffic to a standstill.
The crash took place in the middle of rush hour at around 7.20 a.m. at the northbound Fassaroe exit on the dual carriageway.
One woman was injured in what was described by garda spokesperson, Declan Lynch, as a ‘nose to tail’ crash, and she was brought to Loughlinstown Hospital, where she was later released. The crash caused a tailback as far as Newtownmountkennedy with one motorist saying a 20 minute journey had taken her over an hour.
The crash had a knock on effect through Greystones Town and Bray town as motorists coming from Wicklow seeked an alternative route.
