Going for GOAL
THE FIFTH Annual GOAL Mile will be launched today at St. David’s school, who are hosting a Jersey Day to raise funds and help publicise the event.
Karen O’Shea, the daughter of GOAL’s founder John O’Shea, will visit the school in advance of the St. Stephen’s Day fund raiser.
The Goal Mile will be at the Eire Og Grounds from 12 midday on St. Stephen’s Day, and organisers hope that the public will come along to lend their support.
The Greystones GOAL Mile is a fun family event where participants walk or run 1 mile - 4 laps of the GAA pitch - and make a donation to the well known charity GOAL. Refreshments are provided afterwards in Eire Og Clubhouse. For more information go to www.goal.ie
