Brian plays remarkable show for a full house
BELFAST STAR CROWD DELIGHTED WITH TWO-HOUR SHOW
ONE OF Ireland’s best loved talents and critically acclaimed singer/songwriters, Brian Kennedy, played to a full house at Greystones theatre last Thursday night.
The man who has been described as a natural born communicator held the audience captive with his remarkable musical talent for almost two hours.
The Greystones audience were treated to some old favourites along with some recent sounds from his most recent album, Interpretations.
As the title suggests, Brian, refreshingly gives his interpretations to a unique collection of beautiful songs which include the first single ‘Galileo’ (Declan O’Rourke), ‘Gaye’ (Clifford T Ward). ‘Get It Right Next Time’ (Gerry Rafferty) ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ (Van Morrison).
The album is full of great surprises as Brian effortlessly crosses musical genres and eras – songs from the past and present. And on stage Brian performed each and every song effortlessly.
‘Interpretations’ has been described as a celebration of quality and talent from one of Ireland’s most prolific singers.
The Belfast born talent started his amazing career after being spotted by another great Irish talent, Van Morrison. From there Brian went on to tour with Van on his renowned Blues and Soul World Tour for six years, performing with such musical icons as Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell and many many more. Since then Brian has never looked back and has become one of Ireland’s favourite artists.
