Fun and bargains at Delgany NS market
FAMILY DAY HUGE VARIETY OF STALLS AT SCHOOL
A FUN community day was had by all last Saturday as the annual Delgany National School and Parish Christmas Market took place.
Taragh Seaver and members of the parents council alongside Heatley Tector of the Christ Church Parish come together each year to create and organise this great family and community event.
Stalls set up in the Old School house and the Gym of the national school.
Parishioners, students, and members of the community browsed the huge variety of stalls from the traditional bottle stall, book stall and cake stand to the new slightly loved handbag stall and Happy Christmas Trees Stalls.
With something to suit all tastes nobody left the market without a small token.
Throughout the day there was soups and sandwiches available for the weary shoppers.
Pupils of the Delgany national School were very proud and delighted to have their Christmas tree on display.
This year the kids made the unique festive decorations from wool and textiles especially for their school tree.
For the kids, Santa arrived and made a purpose built igloo his grotto for this year’s market.
The queues for Santa’s igloo didn’t ease all day with so many children from Delgany excited to tell Santa what it is they want for Christmas.
Christmas Trees will be on sale in the carpark of Delgany National School this Saturday and Sunday.
