€350,000 available in RAPID funding
THERE is a total of close to €350,000 allocated to Bray RAPID areas is sitting in government coffers and not being drawn down, according to Cllr. David Grant who spoke at last Tuesday’s council meeting.
He said that some of the money is with central Government and some with Bray Town Council. ‘In effect there is €350,000 not being spent,’ he said.
Cllr. Caroline Burrell supported Cllr. Grant on the issue, as did Cathaoirleach Ciarán O’Brien who said that measures would be put in place to rectify the matter.
‘There are works approved in RAPID estates not being carried out,’ remarked Cllr. Grant.
