To­mor­row night (Thurs­day) the En­niskerry His­tory So­ci­ety, which meets un­der the guid­ance of its pres­i­dent, John Cal­lan, will con­clude its 2008 pro­gramme of monthly lo­cal his­tory lec­tures with the launch of a brand new pre­sen­ta­tion by Bray based lo­cal his­to­rian and au­thor Brian White called the ‘The Hid­den Se­crets of the Dar­gle Val­ley’.

This will be an il­lus­trated in-depth look at the Dar­gle Val­ley since the 1700’s cov­er­ing events, peo­ple and the para­nor­mal.

All are wel­come to at­tend this lec­ture which will take place at 8.30pm in the A.O.H. Hall, Church Hill, En­niskerry vil­lage. Ad­mis­sion is €3.

Brian will also have copies of his book ‘A Co. Wick­low Data­base 420AD to 2006’ for any­one who wishes to ob­tain a copy and will be pleased to sign copies for ex­ist­ing hold­ers of this in­valu­able ref­er­ence book on Co. Wick­low which is the only one of its kind on the county.
