THE CLUB has organised its second social evening which will be held in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Friday, December 19 at 8 p.m.

Further details are available from Mick Considine at 098-9866992, so far there has been a very good uptake but numbers are limited and early booking is required.

Some club members have been taking a winter break after a busy and successful season. Activities for the underage section have been scaled down considerably in the past few Sundays as the icy conditions involve an element of unnecessary risk.

Full activities will resume on the improvement in weather conditions.

The club would also like to welcome new member, mountain biker, Anthony Mills who has been transferring his talents to road cycling and is showing huge potential.

He is also the uncle of very promising under age cyclist, Tony Breen.

The club has a number of upcoming events including a Christmas race, which is open to all grades. This will be on the 21st December on the Arklow bypass course at 10 a.m. from club sponsor’s premises, Jim Tomkins, Suzuki Dealer, The Monument, Gorey.

This is regarded as a very prestigious race to win. Past winners have included Thomas Heaney from the Hamburg Road Club, Germany and club member Cathal Redmond.
