KILBRIDE

Bray People - - Bray Sport -

Saturday the 6th of December, the date Feargal Donoghue resigned as manager of Kilbride, by ‘text message to the chairman’!!! Not so. After a resounding team performance against Aughrim which finally assured that we finish well above the relegation places, Feargal announced to the team and a few hardened followers that Saturday the 6th was his final match in charge. Full credit to the manager who bridged that 39 year championship gap last year. The score was Kilbride 3-10, Aughrim 0-6, the goals coming from C. Jones, M. Kelly and N. Toolis. Fair play to the Aughrim team who followed us into The Tudor Inn for a great session in Blessington. We hope ye lads had a great night. It appears the Brittas Final against Blessington might indeed go ahead this Saturday.

The Under-12s had a walkover against Tinahely on Sunday. With the Juvenile All County setup now in full motion, is the West/South board now defunct? This must surely be considered.

The club AGM will probably take place in early January. The club are on the look out for a Senior Ladies Manager and Men’s Intermediate Manager for 2009, if you have any interest contact the club secretary Diarmuid on 086-3113443.

Diarmuid currently has Kilbride Hoody’s, Hats, and Jerseys in stock. The Christmas Bazaar will be held on Sunday the 21st of December. Hopefully the last Bazaar to be held in the ‘Tin’ Hall.
