Over 120 kids join in the fun
THE Bray Emmets’ GAA clubhouse was the scene of much pandemonium last Saturday morning as over 120 boys and girls aged between four and eight enjoyed the annual Christmas party.
Comedian Reuben was on hand to amuse the budding sports stars with his unique brand of entertainment, before special guests Dara O’hAnnaidh and Leighton Glynn came along to present the young football and hurling players with their medals.
Dara is the captain of the Wicklow Senior Football team, while 2008 was the debut year in international rules for Wicklow footballer Leighton.
Every child was presented with a medal for the effort they had put into their sport throughout the year. They were joined by parents, brothers and sisters, friends and other relatives.
Everyone got a selection box and a drink as they left the party, which the children enjoyed thoroughly.
The club will be enrolling new members aged 4-8 from January 7. To make enquiries contact Gabriel on (087) 6591716 or Tom on 086 3983399.
