Man accused of car theft at fire station
A BRAY MAN accused of burglary and stealing a car from Bray Fire Station also appeared in court on a number of traffic offences, which saw him been handed down fines adding up to just under €1,000 for road traffic offences.
Edward Doran of 51 Ballywaltrim Heights, Bray, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, without a driving licence, without road tax and a valid NCT disc and other road traffic offences at Rynville Manor, Killarney Road, on August 21.
Garda Glenn Quinn told the court he stopped Doran at 3.40 a.m. and demanded Doran’s driving licence which he failed to produce. He also failed to produce all his documents within 10 days at his chosen garda station.
For driving with no insurance Doran was convicted and fined €350 and disqualified from driv- ing for one year, for no road tax he was fined €150, for no driving licence he was fined €150 and for failing to produce a valid NCT certificate he was fined a further € 250.
Doran also appeared on a charge of burglary and for stealing a car at Bray Fire Station, Schools Road, on October 18.
The matter was adjourned to February 16 for the DPPs directions.
