Robert Mitchell of 188 Charlesland Court pleaded guilty to two charges drunken driving at the Strand Road on August 8 and at Farrenkelly Road in Delgany on August 29.

The Defence Solicitor, Mr. Joseph Maguire, told the court that at the time Mitchell’s employer had been arrested for fraud and so he had not received wages for a while so he was going through a bad time.

On both cases Judge Murrough Connellan convicted and fined Mitchell €250.

For drunken driving on August 2 he disqualified him from driving for two years and one day and for drunken driving on August 29, Mitchell, was disqualified from driving for four years.

Both disqualifications are to commence on March 1.
