Bray People - - News -

‘DID THEY actually see me p*ss on the street?,’ replied a Wicklow man when arrested by gardaí for urinating on Bray Main Street.

Noel Smith of 6 Kilmantin Hill, appeared in court on charges of refusing to give his name and address, of threatening and abusive behaviour and urinating in public on Bray Main Street on December 9.

Garda Eimear O’Lenahan told the court that while on patrol she saw Smith urinating and it took her three times to ask him if he was urinating for him to answer her.

He then gave her a false name saying that his name was Noel Simpson.

In court Smith said he didn’t give a false name and that the garda must have heard him wrong.

He said he was very drunk and was waiting for the last bus to go home, so when the gardaí stopped him he said he may have, ‘ said some things but I don’t really remember’.

‘But you can remember not giving a false name. I don’t believe in selective memory,’ Judge rough Connellan Smith.

For giving a false name Judge Connellan convicted and fined Smith €100 and for urinating in public he ordered Smith to enter a bond to keep the peace for one year. Mur
