THE MARTELLO BAR and Koo nightclub were filled to the brim last Sunday night as well wishers came to say farewell to a very popular nightclub manager.

Garrett Brady, who has been manager of the Koo nightclub for the past four years, said a final goodbye to friends and colleagues last Sunday night.

His official last night as manager was the night before on Saturday and staff presented Garret with a huge card with a generous donation inside to treat himself to a few drinks. On Sunday night regular performers at the Martello, Robbie Doyle, Colm Lynch and Scott Maher, all played in a special farewell tribute set.

Garrett was joined by his girlfriend Christina Robinson, who also works in the Koo, and many of his friends and fellow staff.

It was obvious by the huge turnout that Garrett had a great rapport with his staff and was well liked and will be sorely missed.

Garrett isn’t moving to pasters altogether new but instead will be concentrating on an already established business which he runs.

A great night was had by everybody with the musicians keeping the crowd going for the night.

Once the bar in the Martello closed the crowd moved on into the nightclub for a few late drinks and some dancing.

Garrett was delighted with the turnout and had a brilliant night.
