THE AN­NUAL Ce­cil Beare Ec­u­meni­cal Carol Group Singing is un­der­way in Grey­stones at the mo­ment, right up to De­cem­ber 23, with all pro­ceeds go­ing to lo­cal char­i­ties.

Or­gan­is­ers hope that will­ing helpers will come along and ei­ther col­lect or join in the singing. The dates are this evening, to­mor­row, De­cem­ber 20, 22 and 23 at 7.30 p.m. On Satur­day there will be a group meet­ing at the Merid­ian Point Cen­tre at 2 p.m.

‘No singing ex­per­tise is needed, just a will­ing­ness to make a joy­ful noise,’ said one mem­ber who also ad­vised bring­ing gloves and a torch. Chil­dren un­der 13 must be ac­com­pa­nied by an adult.

Meet­ing places are as fol­lows - Wed­nes­day, Fenton’s shop; Thurs­day - En­trance to Grat­tan Park; Satur­day - Grey­stones Mar­ket 2 p.m; De­cem­ber 22 - Ve­teri­nary Clinic Black­lion; De­cem­ber 23 - Grass patch at swim­ming pool.
