Put off the road

AN ARK­LOW res­i­dent was put off the road for four years at Gorey District Court last week, af­ter he was stopped for drink driv­ing.

Pawel Tawno­gorski (28) of 39 Har­bour Court, Ark­low, was charged with drink driv­ing at The Av­enue, Gorey, on De­cem­ber 16, 2007. A blood test gave a read­ing of 84 mg of al­co­hol per 100 ml of blood.

Judge O Buachalla fined him €300, or­dered the con­vic­tion be en­dorsed on the li­cence, and banned him from driv­ing for four years.
