HOLY REDEEMER NOTES

Christ­mas Cards: Th­ese are now on sale price €3.50 per pack of 6 or 3 packs for €10 with the pro­ceeds prov­ing secondary ed­u­ca­tion for or­phaned and needy chil­dren in our Twin Parish of Ikanga in Kenya. Cards will be avail­able out­side the Church af­ter all Masses and from the Parish Of­fice 9.15am to 12.15pm Mon­day to Fri­day.

Christ­mas Carol Ser­vice: This will take place in the Church at 4 p.m. on Sun­day De­cem­ber 21st.

Christ­mas Eve Vigil Masses: The 6pm Mass has an em­pha­sis on fam­i­lies with young chil­dren and due to the large crowds who at­tend this Mass ev­ery year those without small chil­dren are asked to come to a later Mass.

For Health and Safety rea­sons there will be a video link to the Lit­tle Flower Hall to cater with any over­flow. There will be an­other Mass at 8pm while the 11pm Mass will be tele­vised live by RTE and there will be a video link to the Lit­tle Flower Hall to cater with any over­flow.

Christ­mas Day Masses: Th­ese will be cel­e­brated at 9am, 10.30am and 12 Noon – There will be no Evening Mass. On St. Stephens Day (De­cem­ber 26th) Mass will be at 11am only. On Satur­day De­cem­ber 27th at 11am and 6.15pm (Vigil) and at the usual times on Sun­day De­cem­ber 28th.

Rec­on­cil­i­a­tion: The Com­mu­nal Cel­e­bra­tion of the Sacra­ment of Rec­on­cil­i­a­tion will take place in the Church on Satur­day morn­ing at 11am.

OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE

Villa Pacis: Would all Groups in­ter­ested in book­ing a room please con­tact 2760045. The Villa Pacis caters for a wide va­ri­ety of groups rang­ing from Yoga, Com­mu­nity Moth­ers Group, Med­i­ta­tion, Ac­tive Re­tire­ment and es­pe­cially Prayer.

Parish Of­fice Hours: The open­ing hours are 9.30am to 12.30 Mon­day to Fri­day. Masses can only be booked dur­ing th­ese hours.

Parish Choir CD: Our Lady Queen of Peace, un­der the di­rec­tion of Joe Bol­lard, have launched a CD called ‘Sim­ply Singing’ which costs €10 and is avail­able from Joe and mem­bers of the choir. The CD would make a won­der­ful gift and all the pro­ceeds are go­ing to the Church Restora­tion Fund.

Bugisi Mis­sion: Christ­mas Cards ( new de­sign) in aid our Twin Parish are now on sale in the Villa Pacis – €6 per pack of 12. Her trip was de­layed as fol­low­ing an op­er­a­tion of her hand, as her sur­geon would not al­low her re­turn there un­til the end of the month.

Carol Ser­vice: This will take place on Sun­day De­cem­ber 21st at 7.30pm.

Christ­mas Mass List: Names for the Christ­mas List must be given into the Parish Of­fice by 1pm Thurs­day De­cem­ber 18th.

Rec­on­cil­i­a­tion: The Com­mu­nal Cel­e­bra­tion of the Sacra­ment of Rec­on­cil­i­a­tion will take place in the Church next Mon­day at 8pm. In­di­vid­ual Con­fes­sions will be heard on Christ­mas Eve from 10.30am to 11.30am and from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

The Caird­eas Group: St. Fer­gal’s Caird­eas (Friend­ship) Group meets ev­ery Tues­day in St. Clare’s Cen­tre be­tween 2pm to 4pm.

Christ­mas Cards: A pack of six - €4. The in­ten­tions of all those who send or re­ceive Parish Christ­mas cards will be re­mem­bered at all Masses com­ing up to Christ­mas in St. Fer­gals’s.

Christ­mas Con­cert: This will take place in the Church at 7.30pm this Sun­day night. Ad­mis­sion is free but those at­tend­ing are in­vited to bring a gift that will be placed un­der the Christ­mas tree that will be dis­trib­uted by the Women’s Refuge Cen­tre and the St. Clare’s Con­fer­ence of the St. Vin­cent de Paul So­ci­ety.

ST PETER’S LIT­TLE BRAY

Bap­tisms: Bap­tisms are cel­e­brated in St. Peter’s Parish on the 1st Satur­day and last Sun­day of the month. Those think­ing of hav­ing their ba­bies bap­tised are re­quired to com­plete an ap­pli­ca­tion form which must be re­turned at least 2 weeks be­fore the date of Bap­tism. Th­ese forms are avail­able from the Parish Of­fice, the Sac­risty or St. Kevin’s Mass Cen­tre.

Parish Of­fice: The Parish Of­fice which is lo­cated in the bun­ga­low op­po­site the parish hall is closed 1pm to 2.15pm Mon­day to Fri­day and Satur­days and Sun­days.

Any en­quiries re­gard­ing the hall, Bap­tismal ap­pli­ca­tion forms , ceme­tery in­for­ma­tion and parish ac­tiv­i­ties, should be made to the parish of­fice on week­day morn­ings from 9am to 1pm.

For copies of Bap­tismal cer­tifi­cates, book­ing of Masses etc., should be made to the sacristan in the sac­risty Mon­day to Fri­day be­tween 9.30am and 10.30am.

Rosary: The Rosary will be prayed in the Church each Sun­day at 3pm for world peace and all are wel­come to come along.

St.Vin­cent de Paul So­ci­ety: This week­end the an­nual Christ­mas Col­lec­tion of the St. Vin­cent de Paul So­ci­ety will be taken up at all Masses and will re­place the SHARE col­lec­tion.

Memo­rial Gallery: Those who placed a photo or memo­rial cards on the Re­mem­brance Gallery for the month of Novem­ber can now col­lect them from the Parish Of­fice.

Di­rec­tor of Mu­sic: A va­cancy ex­ists for a Di­rec­tor of Mu­sic for the 11am Mass on Sun­days in St. Peter’s Church Lit­tle Bray. Fur­ther in­for­ma­tion avail­able from Fr. Ben Mul­li­gan at 282 2204.

Christ­mas Cards: This year the Christ­mas Cards on sale are sup­port­ing Cross­care, the Dublin Dioce­san So­cial Agen­cies, which work with the home­less in the Dio­cese.

Carol Ser­vice: On Sun­day there will be a Carol Ser­vice by can­dle­light at 7.30pm in the church and will be fol­lowed by tea and mince pies in the Parish hall and all are wel­come to at­tend.

Tues­day Tea Club: Meet­ings have now fin­ished and will re­sume on Tues­day Jan­uary 6th.

Young at Heart: The next din­ner will take place on Fri­day Jan­uary 9th at 12.30pm and all over 50 are wel­come to come along.

BAL­LY­WALTRIM LI­BRARY

Bal­ly­waltrim Li­brary, Boghall Road, Bal­ly­waltrim, is open on Tues­day, Fri­day and Satur­day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and on Wed­nes­day and Thurs­day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Phone 2723205 for en­quiries / re­newals.

SEA SWIM 2009

The or­gan­is­ers of the 26th An­nual New Year’s Day Char­ity Swim in aid of the Bray and Grey­stones Can­cer Sup­port Groups and the Bray Lions Old Folks Fund are re­cruit­ing swim­mers on be­half of this year’s char­i­ties.

COF­FEE DOCK

The Cof­fee Dock in the Lit­tle Flower Hall closed for Christ­mas on Sun­day and will re­open on Wed­nes­day Jan­uary 7th 2009.

On Fri­day there will be a raf­fle af­ter the 10am Mass in the Church of the Most Holy redeemer, Bray in aid of St. Se­bas­tian’s Chakra Char­ity.

En­joy­ing them­selves at the Bray School Project Christ­mas Fair were Lauren and Doreen Burns.
