FOL­LOW­ING THE Wick­low County Camogie As­so­ci­a­tion Con­ven­tion held in Law­less’ of Aughrim, on Sun­day, De­cem­ber 7, the fol­low­ing per­sons were elected onto the County Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee for the forth­com­ing year.

Chair­per­son: Michael Neary, Glenealy (out­go­ing David Mur­ray); ViceChair­per­son: David Mur­ray, Kil­te­gan (out­go­ing Kath­leen McAl­lis­ter); Pres­i­dent: Molly Hollingsworth; VicePresedent: Ann Le Grue; Sec­re­tary: Suzanne Pear­son, Knockananna (in­cum­bant); Trea­surer: Kath­leen McAl­lis­ter, An­nacurra (out­go­ing Ken Bol­ger); PRO: Court­ney Cullen, Glenealy (out­go­ing Mary Carthy); Reg­is­trar: Nuala Cullen, Glenealy (in­cum­bant); Del­e­gate to Le­in­ster Coun­cil: Nat Pear­son, Knockananna (in­cum­bant); Del­e­gates to Congress: Win­nie O’Han­lon, Bal­li­na­cor (in­cum­bant); Breda Byrne, Bal­li­na­cor (in­cum­bant).

In his ad­dress to the County Con­ven­tion, out­go­ing Chair­per­son David Mur­ray thanked all the of­fi­cers of the County Board and the in­di­vid­ual clubs for their co-op­er­a­tion dur­ing the year.

He thanked the train­ers and men­tors of the var­i­ous county pan­els for their hard work and ded­i­ca­tion. He men­tioned that it was par­tic­u­lar­aly grat­i­fy­ing to see the county rep­re­sented at Ju­nior and U-18 level once again.

This was David’s third and fi­nal year as County Chair­per­son and while we are not en­tirely los­ing his ser­vices, his pres­ence at the head of the or­gan­i­sa­tion in the county will be missed.

Suzanne Pear­son, County Se­cer­atary, as part of her re­port, ex­pressed sin­cere thanks and ap­pre­ci­a­tion to Paul Earls of The Na­tional Di­rec­tory of Ire­land, Ark­low for their spon­sor­ship of the camogie cham­pi­onships and Adult Leagues for this year and also their help in pub­lish­ing the County Fi­nal pro­gramme.

She paid spe­cial thanks to her fel­low of­fi­cers for all their hard work and the var­i­ous sub-com­mit­tees for all their end­less work.

She ex­pressed thanks to all in­volved in looking af­ter the county teams this year and cred­ited each girl on all county teams who rep­re­sented their club and county with pride, and cer­tainly wore the Blue and Gold with hon­our.

She wished all the del­e­gates and clubs good health and a sport­ing 2009.
