AN ENTERPRISING group of Transition Year students from Greystones have produced a booklet on the history of Greystones for their mini-company project.

Ciara Holohan, Lorraine Kelly, Jordane Salmon, Sabrina Taglienti and Nicole Jackson have made the brochure with the assistance of their teachers Miss Cavanagh and Miss Burke.

The booklet proved very popular at the recent Christmas Fair in the school, and was well supported by local businesses who bought advertising in the publication.

The booklet starts off with an account of the very first visitors to Greystones, 4,500 years ago, and goes right up to 2008 when Simon Evans and Fearghal O’Nuallain began the first Irish circumnavigation of the globe by bicycle.

For more information on the project or to get your hands on a copy of the brochure, contact St. David’s School directly on (01) 2874800 or email
