SIGNAL ARTS CENTRE will present a collection of paintings by Aoife Feeney early in the new year.
Aoife studied fine art at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, and has exhibited in many group and solo shows both at home and abroad.
She won the Concours des Peintres de la Ville de Montpellier award in 1996.
Aoife paints scenes and persons from everyday life. In earlier work the faces of her subjects filled the frames.
In this interesting exhibition she moves to varying points of distance, thus situating her people in extended contexts.
The opening reception will be on January 9, with the exhibition running to January 18. Signal is open Tuesday to Friday, 10 a. m. to 5 p. m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 midday to 5 p.m.
