A BRAY WOMAN appearing at Bray District Court on foot of a bench warrant forgot about her previous appearance because of the death of her baby and collapse of her marriage, Judge Murrough Connellan heard last week.
The Court heard that Mary Moorehouse, 6 Cedar Court, who was due to appear on a previous date to face a charge of theft, had split u with her husband after the death of their baby girl last February.
Her barrister Jean Connors said that Moorehouse had also been the victim of an assault since then. ‘In the circumstances, she forgot,’ said Ms. Connors.
‘She found the charge sheet then immediately contacted gardaí.’ The case was adjourned to January 26.
