The P & P Knit­ting Group would like to thank all the won­der­ful knit­ters around the county for the mar­vel­lous work they did for our Ch­er­nobyl Chil­drens Project through­out the year and all who sup­ported our re­cent cof­fee morn­ing. May you all have a lovely Christ­mas and a stress free New Year.

The pro­ceeds of the cof­fee morn­ing will be handed over to Sean Ka­vanagh from Gorey when he vis­its Round­wood with the two chil­dren from Ch­er­nobyl af­ter Christ­mas.


Come along to Ka­vanagh’s Lounge on a Thurs­day night from 9.00pm til 11.00pm for some Set Danc­ing and the bit of craic with mu­sic from O’Kane fam­ily. Looking for­ward to your con­tin­u­ing sup­port and meet­ing you on the dance floor.


Its that time of year again & our an­nual Bi-athlon is tak­ing place on Satur­day 27th of De­cem­ber. Please come along and par­tic­i­pate or sup­port, as this is for a great cause, Can­cer/ Leukaemia Re­search.

Pairc an Tóchair is the place to be on St Stephens day where the Ladies and Gents Blitz Fi­nals take place and every­one is in­vited to come along and join in the at­mos­phere of the day.

The Ladies Fi­nal kicks off the day’s ac­tiv­i­ties and is at 2:00pm while the Gents Fi­nal is at 3:00pm. Could all you play­ers in par­tic­u­lar have a do­na­tion ready on the day for St Cather­ine’s/Bar­na­coyle, which is the char­ity that gains an­nu­ally from this fun com­pe­ti­tion.

Pre­sen­ta­tions takes place af­ter­wards in the club lounge and you are again in­vited to re­lax in the cosy sur­round­ings and get a bite to eat and some re­fresh­ments.

We look for­ward to meet­ing you all on the day.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to John Mor­ris who matched three num­bers in the club lotto last week. This week’s jack­pot has reached a mas­sive €14,000 so be sure to have your name on a club lotto ticket.

Sin­cere sym­pa­thy is ex­tended to Des Swords and all his fam­ily on the sad pass­ing of his fa­ther, Paddy. May he rest in peace.
