McShane should make quick return to action
AFTER HAVING to be taken off last week against Liverpool through injury, Hull City manager Phil Brown wanted to make sure his first choice right-back Paul McShane would be fighting fit when he returns and has revealed they will be very careful with the Kilpedder man.
McShane wasn’t allowed to play in Hull’s 4-1 defeat to Sun- derland on Saturday due to terms in his loan and he was sorely missed as his parent club ran riot.
He mightn’t be his usual energetic self at the moment but Brown feels it won’t be long until we see the Wicklow man back on the field once again.
‘Paul is up and about, but there is a compulsory recommenda- tion from the PFA in terms of Paul,’ said Brown.
‘He is unavailable for the weekend anyway, so we’ll wrap him up in cotton wool this week. He’s done his bit so far and hopefully that will continue.
‘We’ll keep a close eye on him and hopefully whoever comes in to replace him steps into his boots well.’
