Village voices ring out cheer
LAST SATURDAY saw a well-attended Christmas Carol Service take place on the village green in Kilmacanogue.
There were plenty of smiling faces, both young and old, as excited children joined in the musical celebration and the realisation dawned that the big day was drawing closer.
This is a singing event that brings the community together and which has proven very popular over the past three years. It is a great idea which spreads some cheer about the village at this festive time.
Those who turned out for the evening had a great time as all the old favourites were given a rendition and all agreed they couldn’t wait for next year to swing around.
It really was the perfect way to get warmed up for Christmas.
