ÉIRE ÓG GREYSTONES

Bray People - - Sports -

Beannachtaí na Bliana Nua libh go léir. We in Éire Óg wish you out there, our readers and supporters, a Happy and Prosperous New Year. You are deserving of the best of our good wishes for the way in which you supported our various activities during the year. A special go raibh maith agaibh to those of you who supported our Lotto. Without your input we would now be calling on the Rialtas to shore up our finances with taxpayers money. And they have enough on their plate as it is! Further, they would want to put their representatives on the coiste, a not altogether desirable scenario as it is questionable on present evidence whether such financial gurus would ensure our financial health.

While you, the weekly subscribers, are the vital ingredient in the mix, there are many others who week after grinding week work stoically to ensure the Lotto’s viability viz. the ticket sellers who seduce you each week with their honeyed sell, coordinators Nellie and Anne-Marie Vickers who look after its logistics, and the scrutineers. We thank them all for their contributions. Céad mile buíochas libh go léir.

Our grateful thanks do not end here. They also extend to those who bought tickets for the Christmas draw, the proceeds of which set us up nicely for those pre-season expenses - insurance, registration etc.
