THE Number 45 bus route should be complemented with a private service according to local TD, Billy Timmins.

Speaking last week Deputy Timmins said Bray Town Council needs to devise an imaginative solution to deal with the bus problems the town will experience when Dublin Bus cut the number of buses services dra- matically. ‘Like all public representatives I am concerned about the Dublin Bus proposal to reduce the number of buses on the No.45 route by almost half,’ says Wicklow Fine Gael TD, Billy Timmins.

‘Many commuters and schoolgoers living in parts of the west and east sides of Bray depend on the 45 bus to get them to school and/or to the DART station. I think of people availing of the Oldcourt, Wolfe Tone and Esplanade services in particular.’

Deputy Timmins said that if Dublin Bus is unwilling to provide the vital service then Bray Town Council should consider giving the route or even part of it to a private bus operator.
