Ta­ble quiz night in aid of wor­thy char­i­ties

GREY­STONES Ten­nis Club held a ta­ble quiz on Satur­day Jan­uary 31, in aid of Grey­stones Can­cer Sup­port Group and the Ir­ish So­ci­ety of Autis­tic Sup­port Group.

The event was a great suc­cess, and at only €10 per per­son was a cheap night’s en­ter­tain­ment. Also get­ting full sup­port from the lo­cal com­mu­nity and re­tail­ers alike, who like ev­ery one at some stage in their life knows some­one who has been af­fected by can­cer.

With a mul­ti­tude of prizes spon­sored by lo­cal busi­ness peo­ple and re­tail­ers the Ten­nis Club opened its doors at 7.30pm and started the quiz in the bar at 8.00pm of the ten­nis club and went on well into the mid­night hour.

The event at­tracted fifty six com­peti­tors, com­pris­ing of 14 ta­bles of four and raised €1,000

Great craic was had by all who turned up for the event with raf­fles and spot prizes tak­ing place dur­ing the in­ter­vals along with fin­ger food.

Grey­stones Ten­nis Club would like to thank the So­cial Com­mit­tee for or­gan­is­ing the event and all the lo­cal busi­nesses for their gen­er­ous sup­port by do­nat­ing some fab­u­lous prizes.
