AFTER the mysterious appearance of a ‘Look who’s 21’ picture in the Bray People during the week, Jack Douglas enjoyed a terrific 21st birthday party in the Esplanade last Friday night.

He was joined by his parents John and Patricia, sister Eleyna and brother Hugh as well as his girlfriend Stephie.

There were also a huge number of extended family, friends and neighbours in attendance, some of whom had travelled from as far as Shillelagh for the big event.

His two grandmothers, Kathleen O’Toole and Sheilagh Douglas were delighted to be there and he fondly remembered his two late grandfathers on the night.

Jack lives on Kingsmill Road and is a trainee electrician. He went to Scoil Chualainn and Colaiste Raithin followed by St. Brendan’s. There were over 150 people there to wish him many happy returns in the Esplanade on Friday.

A DJ, lovely finger food and a delicious cake were part of the festivities, and Jack said a few words thanking everyone for coming. Kathleen herself gave him his 21st kiss and also led the dancers on the floor for most of the night!

‘He is the best in the world,’ said his Nanny, adding that he was her first grandson.
