What are we called?

Bray People - - Kilmacanogue Diary -

IS IT Kilmacanogue or Kilmacanoge ? We all know the Irish name but nearly all our residents will tell you the English spelling is Kilmacanogue. However, a concerned local resident got in touch with Wicklow County Council recently and was informed it is Kilmacanoge. As you come down towards the Rocky Valley from Roundwood, you will see three white signs pointing you in the direction of Kilmacanoge but right as you enter our little village, the green sign tells you that you have arrived in Kilmacanogue as does the green signs on the N11. It seems if it is a green sign, its Kilmacanogue, white means the u is dropped. Don’t mind the recession, this has to be sorted!
