Kilbride’s Caitriona McKeon captained the Wicklow ladies against Antrim on Sunday and lined out at fullback. Probably the highest individual accolade she could aspire to. Well done from everybody involved in the club and the village. Unfortunately the Wicklow ladies lost the match by a single goal.
Eddie Craul’s career as an inter-county referee has moved to a new level, Eddie will officiate in headquarters on St. Valentines Day. He takes control of the Junior All-Ireland Club Final. Another milestone achieved by the club. Well done Eddie.
Lorcan Clarke will take over the reins this year and manage both the Intermediate and Junior C Men’s teams. Good luck to Lorcan for 2009.
The Club Lotto was won by another happy local, Bunny Hyland €4,300. Congratulations Bunny. The numbers were 5, 7 and 26. The jackpot reverts back to €800, get your tickets from any committee member. Shortly you will be able to buy your tickets online.
The Wicklow GAA magazine was launched last week, an excellent publication. Well done to Brendan Lawrence from Knockananna and his team of contributors. The cost is three euros and our club must take 25 from the county board and sell them. So if you would like a magazine every month contact Diarmuid@kilbridegaa.com or 086-3113443. A few were left into the school for demonstration purposes.
A club Race Night will be held in Mooney’s pub on Saturday the 28th of February or the 7th of March, you can purchase jockeys, horses and sponsorship from any committee member.
The Underage Districts will kick off in February, training should commence shortly.
