Council takes over

Bray People - - News -

LAUDERDALE is finally to be taken in charge by Bray Town Council after years of campaigning by residents who have not been able to park in the lane behind their houses.

There was money made available in the budget for resurfacing the road and providing drainage behind numbers 19 to 25. ‘All credit to the residents for fighting hard to get it taken over,’ said Cllr. John Byrne who had worked with the residents on the matter.

He also thanked the Town Engineer for working on getting the estate taken in charge. ‘I’m quick draw McGraw,’ remarked Cllr. Brid Collins cheerfully as she seconded the proposal from Cllr. Byrne. A unanimous vote carried the motion.
