Fans from all over county say farewell to ‘Raglans’
THE RAGLANS left Greystones on a high note last weekend, performing their last local gig in the town’s theatre on Friday night before heading for London to follow their dream of making it big.
Their farewell gig was a resounding success, with their fans from all over north Wicklow turning up to enjoy them in the local venue for the final time in quite some time.
‘Their great success to date makes them a real credit to our community,’ said Simon Harris of Fine Gael, adding that he is proud that the band hails from Greystones.
‘ It’s really great to see a young, talented band doing so well,’ said Simon.
The atmosphere in Greystones Theatre was electric on Friday night as fans and supporters wished them every success before they embark on a music career in London. Their music and drive is sure to be a source of inspiration to other young musicians in Greystones. The community is eagerly following their careers now in the next stage of their journey.
