Fans from all over county say farewell to ‘Raglans’

THE RAGLANS left Grey­stones on a high note last week­end, per­form­ing their last lo­cal gig in the town’s the­atre on Fri­day night be­fore head­ing for Lon­don to fol­low their dream of mak­ing it big.

Their farewell gig was a re­sound­ing suc­cess, with their fans from all over north Wick­low turn­ing up to en­joy them in the lo­cal venue for the fi­nal time in quite some time.

‘Their great suc­cess to date makes them a real credit to our com­mu­nity,’ said Si­mon Har­ris of Fine Gael, adding that he is proud that the band hails from Grey­stones.

‘ It’s re­ally great to see a young, tal­ented band do­ing so well,’ said Si­mon.

The at­mos­phere in Grey­stones The­atre was elec­tric on Fri­day night as fans and sup­port­ers wished them ev­ery suc­cess be­fore they em­bark on a mu­sic ca­reer in Lon­don. Their mu­sic and drive is sure to be a source of in­spi­ra­tion to other young mu­si­cians in Grey­stones. The com­mu­nity is ea­gerly fol­low­ing their ca­reers now in the next stage of their jour­ney.
