PRESENTATION COLLEGE were recently crowned the Section B Junior League Leinster Rugby Champions and players with the Kilmacanogue connection certainly played their part. Eoin Carroll from Calary and Garrett Kelly from the Quill Road featured along with Shane Hunt (son of Sean Hunt and Bernie Byrne) and Robbie Brennan (who is the son of one of Ballybawns finest, Geraldine Mullery) on the team that were victorious over CBC Monkstown on a 16-12 score line in a game held at the Northside venue of Suttonians Rugby Club. There was huge delight and emotion at the final whistle as this was the first time in Presentation College History that they had clinched this Junior title. Just to show a further Kilmacanogue connection, when Kilmac GAA Club’s U14s clinched the North East League in 2007, Eoin and Garrett were also on that team and were joined by Kenneth Murphy, Conor and Cillian Guihen who were also members of the victorious Pres team. Well done lads on this great achievement.
