ANYONE that read the Bray People last week would have seen a familiar face on page 25. Many will recall Pauline Smyth living in Kilmacanogue with her family for many years before moving off to Connolly Square in Bray but she is not forgotten by her old pals in Kilmacanogue.
Pauline works in the Bray MS Shop as a volunteer for the past 17 years and sure why not when you are only 83 and a half years of age. She was nominated for an award by her manager which honours a volunteer who has shown exceptional commitment and performance and someone who makes a real difference to the shop where they work.
The entries were judged by Volunteering Ireland and Pauline emerged the Volunteer of the Year at the Irish Charity Shop Association Conference held last Tuesday in Stillorgan. Congrats Pauline on this well deserved award.
