The juvenile club would like to welcome all the boys and girls who registered with the club today to the club for 2009.
Over 220 children attended on the day, with 65 of them new to the club, and this figure when combined with the current members unable to attend means the club will build on the impressive growth shown last year. Final juvenile numbers will be available by the end of the month when all teams are back in training.
Many thanks to all who helped make the day run so smoothly, both in the preparation and all those who helped out at the Gael Colaiste. A special word of thanks to Gerry Arthur who ran the ‘club crèche’ on the Astro pitch, where a game of football involving juvenile members of all ages ran for the two hours of the registrations. Gerry needed all his refereeing skills to keep control of the large numbers playing, and it was great to see all our juvenile members having fun together.
The U-13 internal league continued on Saturday last in icy conditions, full match reports, results and league tables are available on the website at www.arklowgaa.ie League continues this Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Astro pitch in Pearse park.
