Draws made for com­pe­ti­tions to mark 125th an­niver­sary

TO MARK the 125 an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions of the GAA, Wick­low has or­gan­ised knock-out com­pe­ti­tions in foot­ball and hurl­ing in­volv­ing all clubs in the county.

Draws in hurl­ing and foot­ball were made on Mon­day night and the com­pe­ti­tions will be com­menc­ing in the next few weeks.

With clubs and teams rang­ing from Se­nior down to Ju­nior B, the weaker team in each fix­ture will have home venue and ex­tra-time will be played where a match ends in a draw.

How­ever, the semi-fi­nals and fi­nals will be played at neu­tral venues. Clubs must line out without their county play­ers if those play­ers are re­quired by county teams man­age­ments.

Thirty seven clubs are en­tered in the 125 foot­ball com­pe­ti­tion and the draw is: pre­lim­i­nary round - Carnew Em­mets v. Ti­na­hely (A); Knockananna v. Kil­coole (B); St. Pa­trick’s v. Balt­in­glass (C); Eire Og v. Avon­dale (D); Kil­macanogue v. Donard/Glen (E).

Round one: Rath­new v. AGB (1); Kil­bride v. An Tochar (2); Fer­gal Og v. Strat­ford (3); Kil­te­gan v. Bray Em­mets (4); Dunlavin v. Coolkenno (5); Laragh v. Aughrim (6); Ballymanus v. Bless­ing­ton (7); Bal­li­na­cor v. A (8); E. v. Hol­ly­wood (9); Avoca v. Barn­dar­rig (10); Val­ley­mount v B (11); Ash­ford v. Shil­le­lagh (12); En­niskerry v. An­nacurra (13); Lacken v.
